I'm a Principal Occupational Therapist
Vera holds a Degree in Occupational Therapy from Curtin University of Technology (Australia) and is registered with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC), where she is also a certified AHPC Supervisor.
With over a decade of experience in both pediatric and adult rehabilitation, Vera began her career at the National University Hospital System(NUHS), where she gained valuable experience in both Psychiatry and Peadiatric department. She has since worked in diverse settings, including early intervention programs, SPED & MOE schools and private clinics.
Vera has extensive expertise in delivering individual and group therapy sessions for children with developmental and psychological conditions, facilitating sensory modulation, and implementing classroom strategies. She is skilled in developing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), conducting teacher and parent training, and providing access accommodations for children in mainstream schools.
In addition to her clinical work, Vera has led research and quality improvement projects and presented her findings at national and international conferences, such as APOTC. Fluent in English, Chinese, and Cantonese, she is adept at addressing the diverse needs of her clients.
Vera is committed to a holistic, family-centred approach, working collaboratively with caregivers, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to support children in achieving their fullest potential. She deeply values the mind-body connection that yoga fosters and its profound impact on the nervous system. Her diverse experiences have equipped her with the skills to integrate both yoga and mindfulness techniques into her practice, supporting children’s emotional and physical well-being.
